Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum

Reopened in July 2023! One of the world’s leading dinosaur museums. Located in Katsuyama City, a treasure trove of fossils, it features massive dinosaur skeletons, life-sized dioramas, and exciting hands-on exhibits that both adults and children will love.

Heisenji Hakusan Shrine

Founded in 717, this historic site is famous for its stunning "moss carpet" and ancient stone-paved paths—one of the largest medieval ruins in Japan. The serene atmosphere of the giant cedar trees and the Mitarashi Pond is truly breathtaking.

Eiheiji Temple

Founded in 1244 by Zen Master Dogen, Eiheiji is a premier training monastery for Zen Buddhism. Over 70 structures are nestled in a deep forest, including the "Seven Hall Garan" where monks still practice rigorous daily Zen training today.

Tojinbo Cliffs
